The Soprafino tarot was created by Carlo Della Rocca and released by Ferdinando Gumppenberg in 1835.
The deck follows the same symbolism as the Marseilles decks, but instead of woodblock printing, they are made from engraved plates which allow printing superfine details. Soon after it release it became so popular that it was reproduced with slight alterations by many other card makers, the best known of which are Edoardo Dotty and his father Teodoro.
This reproduction was produced by Osvaldo Menegazzi of Il Menegello in Milan is meticulously detailed. With bright colors and an antique finish.
